Resort '27 Muse - TAHNEE ATKINSON
THE MUSE — TAHNEE ATKINSON
Tahnee has been there from the very beginning. Our earliest memories, ever since the Gigi wrap dress made its debut into wardrobes around the world. Her favourite dress. She always wears it well.
She describes the SIR. woman as soft but strong, fairy-like and stunning. She gets it. She is it.
She has an irrational fear of locked doors, in case she gets stuck. A free spirit needs room. On a desert island, she’d take her dog, friends and camera. Ideal, really. No doors.
Happy place? I’m happy everywhere. Guilty pleasure? What’s there to feel guilty about? Undeniably herself, play some Johnny Cash and she reaches a flow state.
Her daily gua sha ritual (must be rose quartz) relieves any tension she is holding. She’s also learning the Rubik’s cube. Chill.

THE TRANSCRIPT
SIR: What does the word muse mean to you?
Tahnee Atkinson: Muse to me is someone who I find inspiring, creative and memorable.
SIR: Who or what are you currently musing over?
TA: Always my friends. All of my friends are my muses, especially Nikki and Sophie from SIR. They are the most inspiring girls I know and I think everyone should look up to girls like that.
SIR: What are you drawn to in other women?
TA: Divine femininity.
SIR: What is the SIR. woman to you?
TA: She's soft but strong, fairy-like, vintage and stunning.
SIR: Do you remember the first SIR. piece that you fell in love with?
TA: The Gigi wrap dress.
SIR: Can we talk about your relationship with SIR.? Obviously, you've been a collaborator of theirs for a very long time and one of their key muses. What has that relationship been like and how meaningful has it been to you?
TA: It has been so incredible to be on the journey with Nikki and Sophie. I was there from the beginning, I'm still here. I'm so proud of the girls and they deserve every bit of success that they've had.
SIR: Do you feel like the SIR. woman has evolved or changed since you started working with them?
TA: The SIR. woman has definitely evolved but at the same time, the core is still there, the spirit is still there.
SIR: Do you have any specific fond memories from working with them?
TA: I have many fond memories working with SIR. One in particular was the first overseas shoot that we ever did, probably 10 years ago, we were in Positano and it was like a big girls trip. I'll remember it forever.
SIR: If you could only take three items to an island for the rest of your life, what would they be?
TA: My dog, friends, and a camera.
SIR: When was the last time you changed your mind about something and do you remember what it was?
TA: I changed my mind like seven times a day. So the last time was probably... 30 seconds ago when you asked me the last question.
SIR: Can you describe where we are in three words?
TA: Serene, beautiful, still.
SIR: Do you think confidence is something you find or something you build?
TA: I think confidence is something that you build. It's a tough road, but you can build it.
SIR: What is your most irrational fear?
TA: My irrational fear is I can't lock the door in public bathrooms because I'm scared of getting stuck in there.
SIR: Has that ever happened to you?
TA: Yes, in New York all the time. That's happened to me. It's scary. Claustrophobia.
SIR: Where is home to you?
TA: Home is where my best friends and family are.
SIR: And that is currently?
TA: London.
SIR: What are you creatively interested in at the moment?
TA: I would say good conversation.
SIR: Do you think it's possible to be mysterious anymore?
TA: I would love to be mysterious, and I find it fascinating when someone is mysterious because in today's world, I think it's quite difficult with the world we live in, social media... but, yeah, I know mysterious people.
SIR: Where is your happy place?
TA: There's too many! I'm happy everywhere.
SIR: Whose taste do you trust more than your own?
TA: Probably Nikki and Sophie. Or Jordan.
SIR: What’s your favourite food?
TA: Potatoes. Every single type of potatoes. Mashed potatoes, french fries, chips, boiled potatoes, potato salad.... And I love lasagna.
SIR: What makes someone magnetic or memorable?
TA: Definitely someone's aura. Someone's presence when they walk into a room and you can't explain it but their aura is magic. And someone who makes me feel awake.
SIR: What is the last note on your iPhone?
TA: Oh, no... Really? Please be not weird. Please be not weird. It's my frequent flyer progress. Booking flights.
SIR: Whose advice do you trust more than your own?
TA: Probably my best friend Jordan. He's brutal.
SIR: Do you have any words that you live by?
TA: Aim for the moon because if you fall, you land in stars. Perfect.
SIR: Do you have a guilty pleasure?
TA: I don't have one. I enjoy everything. What should I be guilty about?
SIR: Do you have a hype song?
TA: Probably Cocaine Blues by Johnny Cash.
SIR: Who is your ultimate girl crush?
TA: Monica Bellucci.
SIR: What is your most controversial fashion opinion?
TA: I feel like I'm always doing something wrong with my fashion, so I don't know.
SIR: Do you have a daily ritual that you stand by?
TA: Gua Sha.
SIR: Can you show us where you Gua Sha?
TA: Everywhere. All along here, down my neck, around my eyes, my forehead. Get rid of any tension. It truly works. Has to be a rose quartz Gua Sha.
SIR: What do you love most about your home city?
TA: I’m from Perth. My favorite thing about home is the beaches, the laid-back lifestyle and just being ‘home’.
SIR: What is something that you learned recently?
TA: I'm learning the Rubik's Cube. I'm getting there. I'm not there yet. But by the end of this trip, I'll have it done.
