THE MUSE — TISH WEINSTOCK
Libra. Changes her mind constantly.
Writer, contributing editor at British Vogue and author of How To Be A Goth. She got married on Halloween. No one was surprised. She's walked on runways and her ever expanding credentials this year saw her make her acting debut in A24’s The Moment.
A muse, she says, is someone who inspires you, but also challenges you. Her favourite kind of bad behaviour is all of it, because being well behaved is boring. She is anything but.

THE TRANSCRIPT
SIR: What does the word muse mean to you?
TW: A muse is someone that inspires you, but also challenges you.
SIR: What do you think makes someone magnetic or memorable?
TW: Their charm.
SIR: What are you drawn to in other women?
TW: ...Do you know what? Humour.
SIR: Who or what are you currently musing over?
TW: I'm loving Ivy Walk. Because she's just iconic. She's very funny and smart and like, just fucking unhinged.
SIR: If you could only take three items to an island to live for the rest of your life, what would they be?
TW: Can they be people?
SIR: No.
TW: Oh. My mobile phone, because I'm an addict. Some SPF, because I've got very pale skin, and... maybe this dress.
SIR: Do you remember when the last time was that you changed your mind about something and what?
TW: I'm a Libra. I change my mind all the time. And I'm constantly living in regret that I've made the wrong choices... but what can you do?
SIR: Do you think it's possible to be mysterious anymore?
TW: I think... being offline certainly helps the mystery, but that's something I'm not able to do. So, yeah, I think people are, you never really know what's going on with someone. You never know what they're thinking. So I think in that sense, we're all mysterious. We just perform sort of otherwise.
SIR: Do you believe in the older, the wiser?
TW: I definitely subscribe to the idea of being older and wiser. And certainly having kids has taught me a lot about the world and about how not to be.
SIR: What is the most beautifully frightening thing?
TW: The most beautifully frightening thing has got to be having children.
SIR: If you could bring one forgotten female archetype back into fashion, who would she be?
TW: Oh, my God. That's really difficult. I would love to bring a sort of like, I mean, back to the question about mystery, the mysterious 1920s Hollywood star who sort of performed other and performed mystery. I'd like to see her. I think we need a little bit more mystery.
SIR: What is your favoUrite kind of bad behavior?
TW: I, as someone who's always behaving quite badly, like all types of bad behavior. I think there's a fine line between being sort of cheeky and a bit risque, and then being really quite offensive. And that is a tightrope that I walk continually. I like all types of bad behavior. I think being well-behaved is boring.
SIR: Do you have a favourite idiom?
TW: Those in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.
SIR: What or where is the perfect writing scenario for you?
TW: In bed. I like writing in bed when everyone in my family is asleep so that I'm not disturbed. And I've also, by that point, run out of excuses to procrastinate because it's normally 2am.
SIR: Are you a romantic or a pragmatist?
TW: I'm a bit of both. I think I am 50-50 romantic and pragmatist.
SIR: Can you describe where we are in three words?
TW: Very steep incline.
SIR: What is written on your last iPhone note?
TW: The Black Forest.
SIR: What's your most controversial fashion opinion?
TW: I'm not a v-neck jumper, girly. I like a crew neck.
SIR: Guilty pleasure?
TW: Prawn cocktail crisps.
SIR: What is your hype song?
TW: Something by Charli XCX.
SIR: A daily ritual that you stand by?
TW: Skincare.
SIR: Words to live by?
TW: Don't do that.
SIR: Whose taste do you trust more than your own?
TW: My husband's.
SIR: Where is your happy place?
TW: With my family.
