Fly me high, Ibiza sky.

What do you love about Ibiza? Was this your first time?

Not my first time and won’t be my last :). I love that Ibiza is a ‘choose your own adventure’ playground for adults – you can lean into the hippy life up North or hit the party scene in the south whenever you have the desire.

How does Ibiza make you feel?

Heart full. Clothes off. Salty skin. Phone away.

Soundtrack to Ibiza?

This summer I had ‘Dreamer’ by The Blaze and ‘Paris’ by Little Dragon on repeat. This playlist by Arman Nafeei is the vibe.

What does 24 hours in Ibiza look like?

If I’m not shooting – wake up around 11:00, find coffee and pan con tomate, make my way to the beach; swim, sun, salt. Head to lunch around 15:30 then chill for the rest of the afternoon. Dinner is usually somewhere between 22:00 and midnight, ideally under the stars drinking natural wine with friends and deciding whether to go out or not.

What was the best thing you did?

Swam in the ocean with my husband and best friends right as the sun hit the horizon while a 12 year old Ibicenco kid was playing 90’s house gems.

Best thing you ate?

The mussels at Chiringuito Cala Xuclar.

Where are you off to next?

Back to Japan.

Stay?

Six senses – bougie, up north, resort.
Los Enamorados – up north, super chill.
The standard – in Old Town if you want to be close to all the action.
Aguamadera – A relaxed finca in a handy location.

Where to eat?

Lunch – Cala Gracioneta, Jondal, Chiringuito Cala Xuclar, Nudo, Es Torrent, Amante.
Dinner – La paloma, Sa Capella, Casa Maca, La Oliva, Es Moli de sal (Formentera).

Best swimming spot?

Cala D’hort, Cala Xarraca, S'Illot d'En Renclí, Calo Des Mort (Formentera), Es Pouet.

Must do

Spend a sunday sunset at Benirras watching the drumming circle and drinking Estrella on the beach.

What to pack

Bikinis, sarongs, bandanas, sunnies.
