Nina Marker City Guide
MY NAME IS… Nina.
I’M FROM… the outskirts of Copenhagen, a place my mother called “The Swamp”. Close to nature and a 20 minute bike ride from the city centre.
I’m a model, and have been modeling for (phew) 12 years now. I was first scouted when I just turned 16, in the metro in the middle of the night, on my way to McDonald’s for a drunk snack.
IF I WASN’T MODELLING I WOULD….
Hide away in a cabin and never return to civilisation.
I CARE DEEPLY ABOUT….
My friends, animals, the environment, literature, and a good Italian beer.
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE THE FEELING OF VINTAGE SHOPPING IN COPENHAGEN COMPARED TO OTHER CITIES?
Vintage shopping in Copenhagen is special, because of the items the different shops source. Unique to Copenhagen style, the best shops are very selective - but always run by sweet, easygoing people.

DO YOU HAVE A GO-TO ROUTE OR NEIGHBOURHOOD YOU ALWAYS START IN?
I usually start in the city centre, and walk towards Christianshavn.
WHAT’S THE BEST PIECE YOU’VE EVER FOUND IN COPENHAGEN?
When Acne Archive was still located in Elmegade in Nørrebro, I found the most beautiful teddy bear coat with a big purple hood.
WHAT ARE YOUR TOP 3 RECOMMENDATIONS FOR VINTAGE STORES IN COPENHAGEN?
Personal favorites are Times Up Vintage, Magnolias, and Strand32.
ANY HIDDEN SPOTS YOU ALMOST DON’T WANT TO SHARE?
That would be Strand32. You have to really look but they have a great selection - especially their shoes.
WHERE DO YOU GO TO HAVE FUN IN THE CITY?
Usually I would go for a beer at Cafe Wilder’s, followed by dinner at Jah Izakaya, meet up with friends, and go to either Cafe Victor or Søpavillionen for dancing and drinks.
DESCRIBE YOUR PERSONAL STYLE AND HOW HAS COPENHAGEN INFLUENCED YOU?
My personal style… I would describe it as boyish, down to earth, with elements of luxury.
